To the original poster, the jig is up on this flight. I checked the loads today and they left non-revs at the gate. The flights are full. I'm sure this is FF heaven so I'm not sure what the revenue on the flight is but its full. Also, FCO on the A330 was full today as well. Looks like ATL will have no trouble filling the bigger aircraft.

FWIW, all of my flights again, east coast-west coast on this trip are full. You would never guess we are in a recession based on recent loads.

IAH-DTW this Saturday morning, completely full. Also 2 lap children, 1 FA Jumpseater & 2 Pilot Jumpseaters. Any more & they would have been sitting in the lavs.

yes, but was there not a weather event in IAH that may have affected/skewed loads?

Especially when you have to use the lavatory!

No cancelled flights on Friday, but I suppose some could have been CAL pax that got re-routed. It's possible, but either way it was still full.

My how times have changed.
Amazing...Coming from a FA its almost suspect but I believe it.
That was before the RJ I'm guessing and before each airline offered 100 flights a day on that city pair.
Times have certainly changed.

Yep, flights are full and that is before an IROP.
This summer should be fun. Looks like we also sent a few more 757's to VCV this last week.
Still going to be impressed to see how they cover the 767 cat this summer.

I'm sorry, what were you saying? I was too busy looking at your photo there. She has great position at the top of her backswing...doesn't she.

I remember in my new hire class some 11 years ago at NW, some suit from upstairs came down to answer questions. Somebody asked about our on/off again relationship with Alaska.

We had been providing gates at LAX for them and codesharing in a loose kind of way. Alaska decide AA might be a better fit and started to ramp up a codeshare with them. Overnite NW pushed all of Alaska's 737's away from our LAX gates and put a 747-200 on the SEA-ANC run at ridiculous low prices...filled it up everyday. Alaska took 3 days to put out a statement reemphasizing their comittment to NW and ending the flirt with AA.

That pretty much explained our defense strategy.
