Alaska Cancels All Overnight Flights to ANC
From Seattle Times:
Because of another blast of ash from Alaska's Mount Redoubt, Seattle-based Alaska Airlines has suspended flights in and out of Anchorage until Wednesday morning. The ash poses a significant risk to air travel, an airline spokeswoman said tonight.
As a safety precaution, 18 flights tonight and early Wednesday morning have been canceled. The airlines says service will be re-evaluated Wednesday.
Travelers can check the status of flights in advance online at alaskaair.com, or by calling 800-252-7522.

Yeah,
Mt. Redoubt has been fun to deal with the past week or so. Its has been impacting everyone that operates in the Anchorage Area.
In the past week and a half I have flown a total of 3 flights. Before all of this began I never thought I would have to cancel flights with student because of Volcanic Ash. I am used to the weather cancels.
Its been interesting to watch how the guys over at Ted Stevens Int. are dealing with the Volcano. They seem to be playing it pretty safe (as am I). No one wants a repeat of the KLM 747 that almost went down in 1989 due to Redoubt.
