I would LOVE for Midwest pilots to strike, then we cannot fly your flying since it goes against our contract. Stand up and strike Midwest pilots. Come on 320, lead the charge since your so angry. I'll stand beside you and many other RAH pilots.

We have 300 pilots, myself included, already on "strike" now. 200 more at Skyway from the Skywest scum virus.
Toiletduck: What has a higher RASM the 717 or the 170? What has a higher CASM (hint: it's the opposite of the first answer). Your point of profitability is stupid to argue. Profitablity had NOTHING to do with this, rather you enablers swooped in when Tim's gamble with Boeing failed.
Even though the RAH enablers are evil, they're nothing compared to Tim and his anal blowpiece Mike Brophy.
....but hey it's just business.

Do you understand terms like yield? Look it up. Midwest load factors have been quite high in the last 2 years.
Well at least at Midwest we have something you kiddies at RAH don't have: Instructors who dabble in the porn industry. A direct quote from this wise sage:
"Man I gotta go to a bondage festival this weekend. I hate bondage queens!"

RAH=CANCER of the industry
I get flamed all the time for saying this, but maybe if these guys demanded a higher payrate for the 70+ seat flying their cost structure wouldn't be so enticing for MIDWEST management
Now lets just wait for Republics greatest Pilot, aviation's most knowledgeable person as well as an avid APC blogger _______ to try and educate us all, and rationalize this mess

you might not have meant it to sound the way you did but...
if that is what you honestly believe. You just need to understand that by flying this hypothetical trip you are cementing yourself into a career at a regional, a career at "regional" pay, stabbing a unionized work group in the back, and becoming a scab for the rest of your LIFE. Aviation is a small community and names get around. IF Midwest does strike then i would highly suggest staying as far the hell away from that flying as you can get. It has the potential to ruin your career/reputation and livelihood in the long run.
besides the obvious scab thing you have to ask yourself: 70 seats for life or have a major to look forward too?
Every pilot should have a couple months pay savings in case of a strike

The termination of my pension, and the sagging economy has prompted me to reenter the labor market so as to put off drawing on my social security . I now drive a school bus in a rural county. The down side is that the pay is low, working conditions poor, and benefits nonexistent. On the upside I get weekends, and summers off, and there are no threats, or attempts at intimidation from the union types.

No one who has ever been on strike uses the word "LOVE" and strike in the same sentence. In any case, I'm saving your last sentence and we'll just see what happens if or when the Midwest pilots are released to "self help".

Yes they did teach that in high school. Sophomore year I think. Right along with how things like yield don't matter if you aren't charging enough $$$ per ticket. Get your head out of the sand these are basics. The place LOST money. Skybus had full planes all the time. Wonder why they are out of business then? $10 tickets anyone?

If they sit around and do nothing letting the company make all the moves, as they have in the past, why is it RAH's pilots duty to take the stand for them? Take things a little further than posting here and who knows what might happen.
