ALPA ain't gonna do jack.

What the remaining Midwest pilots SHOULD do is simply walk off the job enmasse. Of course, that would be placing principle before paycheck and that's not going to happen, because in this day and age, it's every pilot for himself. That's the way it will be in the future, bith within pilot groups and between pilot groups.

Those currently on furlough at Midwest are finished there. It's over and done with. Those who remain eventually will be also placed in the position of agreeing to get on their knees or they too will be replaced.

The worst part (unless your a Midwest pilot)..............this will be spreading to other pilot groups as well.

If I was a Midwest pilot currently earning a paycheck, they should be doing two things;

A. Make as much money as possible while they can.

B. Already be AGGRESIVELY planning their next employment move.

All Airline Pilots need to push for legacy carriers to own the large RJ flying.

It shouldnt just be large RJ flying. Anything that is painted like a mainline paint job or code share should be a mainline job.

Default Sadder Yet

MEH Captain Mike Walker passed away yesterday.

Mike was a very talented and decent man.

He's forgotten more jokes than all of us together have ever known.

He was the guy with the Billy bob dentures and coke bottle glasses in his flight case.

We will miss him.

Make the most of every day.

And the kicks just keep on coming. I don't know anybody in the Midwest family, but you're all in my prayers.

Ditto, we have to stop the divide and conquer technique being used by management to lower the airline pilot profession.

DALPA is in the drivers seat... make us proud!

Actually, it should be easier than thought. Instead of our historic "stance" that struck routes will not be worked by other airlines, we just put in language that says that any routes operated by pilots on that company's list will never be eligable to be worked by any other pilot or pilot list.

Just that simple...

IE, if that company still exists, only one pilot list will be eligable to work the company's routes.

It's ok, your union now has our former pointman helping. When you get "5 letters in 5 days" you will see the genius.
So what you're saying is that you didn't stand up to your company but you expected us to stand up to your company? A little against the law for us. You realize that both pilot groups found out this information at the same time? If you can't understand that then by all means go all crazy with the keyboard big guy.

Oh yea I'm a company man alright. It's not my fault. It's the faults in your contract that made that happen. Sad but true. I, nor any others, have had any hand with any of what took place.

So you're saying that because our guys show up and go to work they're scabs now? What you expect them to just strike as individuals? Because the Midex guys didn't stop their management legally it's our obligation to stop their management illegally?

I've read my contract a few times. What's wrong with my statement exactly? If I show up and say "No I'm not flying" the company can fire me. The union has to call the shots then we follow their lead. It's not a union if you operate as individuals. You aren't protected for operating as an individual. The unions will issues statements and instructions should something like that happen.
