Web site to congratulate crew of US1549
Sorry if this has been posted before, but I'm looking for an email adress or maybe a website where I could send a small message to congratulate the whole crew of flight 1549.
Thank you
Thank you

Maybe we could get them canonized...
(Dont get me wrong, they did a hell of a job, but it is their job, just like the rest of us...enough of the hero stuff...heroes run into burning buildings when they could stay outside and watch, this crew just did what they trained to do and are paid to do. OK, soapbox-stowed and secure)

Earlier today, while waiting on the employee bus, a ramp guy tapped me on the shoulder and said "I've got a lot more respect for what you guy's do now". This was in reference to Sully's 60 minute interview.
This is an opportunity for us to let the flying public know what we are worth.
Like Bob Newhart said, "I want my pilots whistling Hi Ho Hi Ho It's off to Work I Go". (Johnny Carson, years and years ago)

Truly a once in a generation opportunity to get positive exposure in the general public.
Like it or not, Sully is leading that positive perception. Yes, he did his job, just like most of us would have done and the public thinks that job was extraordinary.
We each benefit from this.

Yes. I have been so embarrased over the last couple years of all the drunk/naked/pedophile/wife-beating pilots that has hit the newsstand. Every time another one of these news stories hit, I get at least a couple family/friends asking if I knew the guy, or if I know guys like that, and that every perception they have of us up front leads to the fat, drunk, and womanizing pilot.
I, for one, am glad that I can now say truthfully "Yes, nearly every pilot I meet has been so thoroughly trained and of such mindset that they would show the same amount of strength and courage that Capt. Sully did if they were in his shoes."
I will admit that, up to now, my career has been a fairly short one, and while I'm a little disappointed in the media's [lack of] perception about CRM, I am finally proud that, after so many years of bad news, that I finally have a pilot that I can look up to and point to as a strong representative of our nations pilot group. Enough praise can never be bestowed on a pilot in such a light as to cast, even if just a glimmer, such a good perception onto the rest of us as pilots.
