If it's liquidated and assets are sold a bankruptcy judge will preside over an auction process of the certificate, Republic is guaranteed nothing but a bid. I doubt we will be included in this, but we will fight like hell to be.
Understand the MINUTE CH 11 or 7 happens, Republic's contract with Midwest IS THROWN OUT THE WINDOW.

They put the 25 B717s up for sale, only a couple of airlines showed any interest. Mexicana needed to replace their aging Fokker-100 fleet, I think they agreed to take the B717s. Sad what happened to Midwest, flew them a couple of times, best service, nicest F/As. truly a shame
Source from outside the "Internal" data (for HR's sake )
Midwest Airlines - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
And you only need one "interested" airline if they are considering all of them.
Mexicana poised to lease 25 717s
But I could not agree more about your last statement. Truly one of the best. I saved a cookie !!

Oh and for giggles RAH has up to 99 seat pay, of course it isn't any different than the current 86 seat.... regardless, I would rather see Midwest fold up shop than Republic somehow snag that flying. That way major type airlines with major type pay and benefits can pick up the slack....good for the aviation community.
I might be mis-understanding your post so please dont take offense.
Republic is already flying for Midwest and has all but replaced their 717 flying. There is only 9 717's running around now and 75% of Midwests' pilot group has been furloughed since Republic started flying . Republic has already "snagged" the flying and Midwest's ALPA has failed to prove any wrong doing in court. It is another huge set back for this profession as pilots making 30-60K a year are slowly taking over.

Several things.
First, I heard right from BB's mouth that he is not interested in any mergers with any other airline. When he was asked about acquistions, well - that is another story.
Second - please do not start this into another Republic bashing thread. One person on this thread got it right - they acknowledged that SkyWest is involved with this as well (sorry SkyWest). Let's remember how this came about. It was the Midwest management that caused to situation to develop to where it is now. Its not the pilots. Blame someone, but make sure its directed at the right person.
Lastly - We could sit here all day long and debate what could happen, what should've happened, etc. This is all speculation and only causes undue stress and animoscity between the pilot groups.

Put the blame where it belongs... ALPA national.
The Midwest scope language was worthless. ALPA was paid (10 million dollars) to protect the interests of the Midwest pilots and failed.
