Delta Payscale For Crj900?

Great post Fred.
There are so many compelling reasons to make it part of mainline. Another one is that there is no history and not egos there. Everyone that went to CPZ also knew of the flow up and flow down. There will be no bruised egos with the staple.

You're WAY wrong. Why do you think so many of us complain about the CR9 & E175? Because they too belong at MAINLINE. A DC9-10 or a Convair 580 or a 737-100/200 used to be at mainline. All those airplanes have been replaced by RJs that are at lower paying, lower QOL regionals. I would glady fly an E175/CR9 at mainline because not only would we have the better pay, but also better workrules. It's about QOL & PAY.

Compass would work because it would be a straight staple and not one compass pilot would have the ability to sue for higher seniority. On the other hand, the other regionals would require each pilot signing legal documents to forgo their right to sue under merger integration. I would sign it in a heartbeat and accept the staple, but there are guys senior to me that I know would never ever allow that to happen.
I agree that once mainline sees that RJ's can be operated at the mainline without "legacy costs", which has only become possible very recently, the other regionals days will be numbered.

Past decisions by DAL and NWA pilot groups would prove my point. People talk a mean game, but when the contract come up to vote, talk goes out the window. Pilots in general prove this. Look at the the Mesa guys agreed to in the last TA. They should have voted no in large numbers.
One other thing, most of the senior guys at your company will throw everyone else under the bus to satisfy their needs. So, the junior guy who would not mind flying the 175 or 900, is out numbered.

It would likely be voted as a resolution by existing Reps, not a MEMRAT. Then new combined MEC has many more junior pilots whose careers are impacted by Scope, as well as more homogeneous pilot group, unlike the previous WB/NB class warfare at with our MEC hijacked by the WB mafia.

Do you think RJDC's intent was to sue ALPA and force them to put Comair and ASA ahead of Delta?

If this were to happen I would envision it having to be revenue positive for the Co. as well as a zero-sum gain for us. I doubt there is the stomach to "buy" this with relief elsewhere in the PWA.
