[quote=Mesabah;551677]The cap is 120 for 76 seats;

Comair has 13 CR900s ; ASA has 2 CR900s, 8 on order; Mesaba has 41 CR900s; Compass has 36 E175; Pinnacle has 18 CR900s ; Shuttle has 16 E175s; Skywest has 21 CR900's

That is 147 76 seat aircraft + 8 on order giving a total of 155 aircraft. The cap is 120. If you move the 36 E175's to mainline, that brings it to 119. Under the cap.

The max cap is 255;

The Max cap is 255 plus the 36 comapss birds. They are not included in the 255. They were an exception to the limit.

No, the exception was not to the 255 number but to the 86,000 max gross. The E175LR is certified to 89,000 max gross. It was a weight exception, not a number.

The problem is delta scope does not specify the size of the aircraft that can create further scope relax; the NWA contract did. Plus if that 120 cap is raised it never goes back down unless a delta pilot is furloughed that has DOH on 9/1/01 or earlier, which they have to pull out 6 seats. If either the compass/XJ flow is terminated, then it goes to 85.

From what i've seen, The cap of 120(76 seaters) or 255 total can't go up. That's why it's a "cap".

Failure to want to fight this fight would incredibly cavalier and downright stupid. I realize there are battles to choose but this should be at the top of the list. Every pilot must be worried. Now that we added 5000 fire breathers to the list, perhaps the pressure on this will increase.

Soup, the 255 is the cap, the 120 is a number that depends on the amount of mainline aircraft at the date of SLI. If they bring new aircraft onto mainline they can increase that 120 by 3 for each aircraft. The 255 cap stays.

In my opinion, fighting it would be not a good idea. I imagine the MEC will try to pass resolutions that peacefully bring the compass pilots on board. Imagine if DALPA dives in head on and the company says, OK forced SLI with comair......that would get ugly

You're thinking line an RJ pilot. History shows the mainline pilot motto is "Screw you, I got mine".

Anyone holding out hope for equal treatment, cooperation or respect from a mainline pilot is dreaming. They will toss crumbs at you then say "Help us now and we'll pay you back later" but later never comes.

Here's one fire breather who agrees!

Well said, Denny.

A contract is worthless if the parties don't live by it.
