Delta pilot arrested

ACL is correct. This guy is an island right now. If what he did happened as advertised he gets everything he has coming to him. That said, I learned a long time ago in management, that all is not what it appears to be and there are always two sides to every story. He's going through a bitter divorce right now. I went through one eight years ago. For anyone who has never gone through one consider yourself lucky. When two people fall out of love a lot of hurtful things come out to try and hurt the other side. Perhaps she told him she's having an affair with his best friend, maybe she maxed out all his credit cards, who knows. The point is, something made the guy snap. Raping your wife and hurting her in front of the kids is reprehensible. But what triggered it? Again, in NO WAY am I defending his actions, just pointing out that I doubt he premeditatively drove over to the house to do this. Something triggered the action. Crimes of passion are well known where even the most normal and sane people basically have a moment of temporary insanity.
His life is over as he knows it now. His kids have a memory they will never lose. The whole thing is a tragedy.

It doesn't matter what triggered it. If he hit and/or raped his wife, he deserves everything he has coming.

Not trying to defend this guy, but raping his wife? I just find that a little peculiar, I'm not saying it's not possible, but if this guy is going through an ugly divorce than this could be his wife's way of sticking it to him.
I think back to that Lacrosse Team a few years ago, I think it was Duke, the whole team was arrested and suspended from school on accusations of rape charges from a stripper. These kids were in danger of having their futures destroyed, but fortunately the truth eventually came out and the stripper's scumbag attorney got disbarred.
Again, I'm not defending this in the least bit, but I am also not accusing him either. No one knows all the facts and our entire judicial system is based on the fact of innocence until proven guilty. The courts will settle this, beyond that I think everyone should take a step back and let this guy's personal legal issues run it's course.
If found guilty, what kind of repercussions could this guy expect from the company? Can he be laid off? I would think not, but curious to see what you all think?

I think I know the guy. If it's the right guy, I've worked with him for about 3 months..... Like some of you said, something must have caused him to snap, because he was one of the nicest guys I've known on the 4th floor.

Yes, this is a mess.
Something made him snap, but some of you have asked why? Think about a guy going through a nasty divorce etc. It is never good.
I pray for he and his family, it is full of a lot of broken hearts at the moment.
FWIW the injuries are normal for one trying to defend or get away from a would be attacker.
There is a lot to this that is not in the paper, leave it that way. I wish it would have never made these boards. As I said before, it is truly sad. As DAL said, his life as he knows it is over. There will be ramifications far beyond prison for this.

Thats a pretty freakin hilarious video. There's also one with english subtitles. And I know this is a pretty tragic situation, but on a lighter note... I like how they describe the guy as a "first officer, which is the lowest rank at the company." Hey, wait a second... Im a first officer too.
