Based on the numbers, it seems that the fleet will remain stagnant. Doesn’t that mean the staffing requirements fly the jets will also remain the same? Doesn’t that mean that no one will be pink slipped? But wait… in light of the current economy who has the disposable income to take vacations? I bet the situation at SWA is a lot better than your counter parts.
Age 65 isn’t the immediate problem… but ways to fill current seats rather than buying new toys.

Not to start a fight, as far as I know, the NWA MEC and the APA were the only two pilot unons who were against AGE 65. (I'm not sure where IPA stood on the issue). So, Southwest guys get to finally criticize your union about something. Welcome to the club. Age 65 hurts.

What do you mean FINALLY criticize our union? I've always had doubts about SWAPA.

200-ish is the word I hear too. Looks like I'll be changing my separation date from this April to uhhh...hmmm....any ideas? Judging from reading the quarterly report, Gary's letter to employees, and various economic guru friends, I think the email from the PD earlier this month might be spot on, unfortunately.
