Great find on the best places to work list! How did Anheuser-Busch not make the best 50 best places to work?! Ive got buddies over there living the dream.

There should be more regional airlines on the worst place to work list. I can think of two off the top of my head that are far worse than United.

Also, I believe the sim was single engine set up that flew at jet speeds and had a weird way of scoring your flying by recording data at certain time intervals. It wasn't about "flying" it smoothly, it was about correcting when you were off RIGHT AWAY.
Yes...I just heard that it was a computer graded simulator evaluation. If you were not *good* at flying the sim then it just wasn't your day I guess.

I wouldn't bet on that. UAL would be bought by someone else. For instance CAL was taking a look. When you buy a name you buy the rep that goes with it. Do you think the airline ranked the best to travel on would pick the name of the airline ranked as one of the worst?

When they say DHL Express (USA) as the WORST place to work - are they talking about the Air Freight business or the company as a whole?

Again, I'm sure that somebody more knowledgeable will chime in. But I remember it being that when you were in the sim, it took a data reading around every 6 seconds, hdg, alt, spd, loc, gs, vor, etc. If there were too many of the data points outside tolerance it was a showstopper. So like I said before, it wasn't a matter of "flying" it smooth, it was a matter of correcting right away to get back on.

It was probably the all too common case of whether or not the candidate did a sim prep for THAT SPECIFIC airline's profile.

How many employees does United have?

The survey used 11,000 employees total for the entire survey. I would like to know a little more. Statistics can be used to prove anything and without know how they conducted the survey, the number of employees responding, outliers, etc. this is suspect at best.

I'm not doubting that it isn't the best place to work, but second only to DHL as the worst, come on.

OO.
