Planes bump on ground at Sea-Tac

Jake,
You seem to know everything on all other threads. So how did you miss that 757's and 737's don't powerback? I've flown them both. And i've flown the MD-80 which does powerback.
Your negative attitude determines your ego.

Why would you think I have a negative attitude? Because I don't wear rose-colored glasses? Would you prefer I went around preaching how everything's going to be okay and we'll all be 777 Captain's in a few short years?
This industry is changing. We need to adapt to our new environment or risk going the way of past airlines which have failed to do so.

AA used to do it quite a bit on the MD-80s (sorry, Super 80s). Eastern pioneered it back in the 80s when Borman was fighting with Charlie Bryan and the Machinists. I believe they did it on everything, though not sure about the 757s or L-1011s.

Yeah, they FINALLY discontinued powerbacks at AA a few years ago. What a waste of fuel and energy. Half the time (on the 80) you were too heavy or on an upslope and you couldn't get the thing moving. Come out of reverse, move forward a few feet, and try again. Kinda like rocking a car stuck in snow. The pax hated it. It did a great job cleaning FOD on the ramp, though!
