Default Alpa should have a practice bid for DL & NW pilots..

I continue to hear rumors about what people want on the internet. ALPA should came out with a way that both DL an Nw pilots could post there bid preferences on a secure, for information only, website. I am tired of asking the NW guys, "what planes and bases do you and your fellow pilots want?" With all the modern technology this would be a big help. I am looking for answers to my questions. I am tired of complaining.

Um, wishful thinking. I think that would do more harm than good. Plus, it would just upset people.

Very true.

Remember, once we are at SOC and facing our first joint bid, you can look in DBMS and see how many people senior to you have a bid in for something. It doesn't say where those people are coming from, but it doesn't really matter does it?

It doesn't matter, but I'm going to hire the neighbor's kid to hack the system and if a pilot tries to bid from MSP, or DTW, to ATL then the screen should display a pop up box saying "No, hell no you don't" and bill their credit card for three orders of Oysters from Spondivits to be delivered to their home via a heated USPS truck.

... there will not be a bump and flush. Despite the NWA pilots eagerness to go shopping Delta equipment with their new super seniority ... I'm camping in the lower 10% in Atlanta and if the category does not shrink and get refilled by the Norse invaders my family should come out of this relatively unharmed. Reserve at Delta isn't bad at all sitting at home, I can do that for the next ten years that it will take for me to get back to where I am right now.

Agreed. This is freaking hysterical. And I appreciate the candor in saying what a lot of us are feeling, but not willing to say aloud.

On a related note... I also liked the comment someone made on another DAL thread about telling his Captains to walk around ATL at night by themselves to help out the seniority list. (Thankfully, I'm junior to him!)

This situation make be kind of sucky, but you guys sure do crack me up. A little humor goes a long way.

People MAY bid different bases but it MAY not not mean different equipment, Planes will be moved meaning new planes in different bases.

Heyas,

You can count on people looking out for their own best interests. You can bet that any good deals that become available will be taken advantage of.

NEVER trust a pilot to not do something he says he says he won't if there is money on the table.

".. I'm camping in the lower 10% " Dude! You are in the bottom 10% and you think you have a right to tell any nwa guy who by the way feels the same as you..... "Screwed," to not bid Atlanta after the castration that we have gotten? You are out of your mind! Im on the bottom of the list but because I was hired at DAL I should have more power than NWA guys that were hired 30 years ago? WOW! The junior guys of today sure have some gonads. Just as the DAL boys will profited by all the DAL retirements and moved up 15 years in one day.......AND now will profit from NWA retirements....Dont expect us to feel sorry for you bottom 10%er.
Now with that said......Cant we all just get along. LOL. It cracks me up to hear all the ideas of DAL guys getting screwed....GIVE ME A BREAK!

I will be one of the DAL guys that says. I did not get screwed in the merger. My Relative percentage is plus or minus 1% of where it would have been either before the merger.
