Did i miss something? Did a furlough notice get sent out? You guys are arguing things that havent happened. Must be a pilot thing, when you dont have something to worry or complain about we make something up

IF it were to happen than either side has flowback rights.

Eric,

I would guess that once you are furloughed you will not be recalled until there is a position to recall you to. I guess that has yet to be decided. Hopefully we wont have to worry about any furloughs! (Tryin' to be a glass half full kinda guy!)

My point was prior to SOC, If a premerger NW DC9 pilot was furloughed before a more junior premerger DL MD88 pilot but both were furolughed before SOC and recalled after SOC, the most senior pilot would be recalled first even though he had been furloughed first.

Hey my name's first on this law firm!.......I should be Numer Uno!!!!

my point exactly, everyone keeps asking about Nwa pilots bidding into dal bases and aircraft and everything depends on where and what aircraft and bases end up.

I hope flowing back to Compass isn't anyone's back up plan. DAL has 12,400+ pilots and I believe Compass has maybe 300? If DAL furloughs just 5% of their pilots that's 600 people, I for one, won't find myself at Compass!

I'm much more happy sticking my head in the sand. "Because I'm good enough and gosh darn it, people like me!"

You have to remember guys are on military leave, sick leave, FMLA, etc. There will be more early outs offered, I'm sure of it. Some guys are already past 60 at NW, and if they don't like the list they can punch out. Some guys on that list have retired. And people can plan on Compass as a backup. Not everyone will take it. I'm sure some guys in LAX or SLC will not want to commute to DTW, MSP, MEM for Compass. And we haven't even furloughed yet. I'm sure it's been discussed, but they probably just want to have a plan in place if it needs to happen. More capacity cuts could mean furloughs, but I think we should at least wait and see what future bookings are like, and what the 09 block hours will be. Until then, remain calm.

He is correct. If we cut more you may see some furloughs, but with all of the training that is going to be going on they are going to need extra bodies.
Also I expect to see some early out package offered. Probably one that the union agrees to that lets NWA guys retire with pre DCC health care. It is probably the cheapest way to get people to leave.

What about the whole no furloughs for 2 years from the DCC too? (for frontline employees aka us??)
