Under the remark about toys, the writer forgot to mention iPod.
Also, the larger the watch, the higher the top-end Mach number of the aircraft. That's important to note as F-22 drivers tend to wear wall clocks on their wrist while a B767 captain might wear a slightly more tasteful (and smaller) Breitling watch.

*I'd be very suspicious of the part about us being paranoid. You never know where it came from or who wrote it.
*About that part that says pilots would rather modify their environments instead of their behavior..I'm not budging until the author rewrites that.
*Well, the article is either right or wrong. Accurate or inaccurate. Throw it away or hang it on the wall. I'm either bimodal or I'm not.
*I'd use spellcheck on this reply except I'd rather do it myself instead of trusting spellcheck to do it.
*I was going to ask my wife if these descriptions were accurate, but I didn't want to have a deep emotional talk about my feelings.
*I'll always hold it against ALPA for publishing that. About 10 years ago, some company guy saw that article and rubbed it in my face about all the shortcomings. Especially the part about having long memories of perceived injustices.
(OK, that's all I can think of. Please post if you have more.)

Hahe., thats nothing. I got mine at Walgreens, $9.99 Best watch I have ever owned. I've replaced the battery once in 2 1/2yrs. It silver looks like a heavy metal chain. When I get a mainline job I'll move up. Maybe?
On a side note, I see all of those qualities in me written in that article. For better or worse.

This has been around for quite sometime, presumably the abstract was part of a commissioned study by an airline management to see "what made pilots tick". It's common practice by many management teams (entering into contract negotiations) to employ industrial psychologists to help identify collective hot buttons.
