Ryanair, and those of us who have actually flown on them will tell you that you cannot see the complete lack of legroom. I am 5'11", not that tall and I literally did not fit in. I rode on Ryanair because i got stuck and they were literally the only option to get to another airport to get home and I wouldn't take another ride on them if I were getting paid. Hopefully this doesn't happen over here. Skybus followed their model (sorta) and failed, lets hope nobody else tries

Ryanair in Europe - the fastest growing European airline. I've heard people refer to them as "Southwest de-lite" as in a 'lighter' version when it comes to the frills of SWA.
They have 166 Boeing 737-800s and will receive several hundred more in the next 10 years. They've 'redefined' the term 'leg room' by squeezing in 189 people in each plane!

£10 is about $17!

No you won't. Not too long ago people were saying they'd walk off their jobs the day "jet jobs" only offered regional airline pay... You are flying a jet correct? I know it's a regional jet but I'm sure you often fly legs that are longer than 1-2 hours yet I doubt you make 'major airline' pay.
Please understand, I am not saying this to demean you and/or your type of flying. Not at all, instead I am pointing out that with time we all seem to be getting used to things that in the past we'd find unacceptable.
Unfortunately, I think Ryanair type of transportation is here to stay. 10 years from now SWA flights will be considered very 'luxurious' and other ultra-low cost airlines will be encroaching on that 'legacy' airline.
PS. Nice trike in your avatar - flew one in Hawaii not too long ago.

I spoke with a flight attendant instructor recently at NWA and he said we are going to city specific advertising on our boarding passes. He said the passes will have ads and coupons that the passengers can use at various establishments at their destination. I like the idea, beats ugly stickers fixed to the aircraft interior.

Not sure if this worked out?? but it is NK's new on-board advertising for the Bahamas' Tourism Board..... and it really is not all that bad to look at... just walk in through the cabin door and make a quick left turn and it doesn't look so bad
As someone mentioned before; the European way of travel ala' Ryanair, Easy Jet etc... is going to make it over here sooner or later NK has been half-heartly testing the waters for some time now.... with some success I might add. The ala carte pricing, I think, is going to happen like it or not.
