SFO Parking
I'm going to be commuting out of SFO and need to find a parking solution. Work for a regional that does not serve the airport, mainline carrier serves the airport but it is not a domicile.
I heard you can park in short term parking as an employee at a reduced rate, does anyone here know anything about that? Or another reasonable option? Thanks for the help!

Couple of options, as aerospacepilot said the Millbrae station is an option, it is both a BART and a Caltrain station. Lots of parking, just park there and pay $1.50 to take BART into the airport. Used to be easier as the train went right to SFO, now you have to make 1 stop and a train transfer, but overall still not too bad an experience. Problem can be that the parking spots get pretty full during the commute mornings, and lots of spots are closed until 10am to the commuters who have bought parking passes.
Another option would be to park by the Hyatt hotel on the other side of the freeway to Millbrae. THere is a side street next to the hotel parking garage that won't cost anything and usually has spots. Park there, walk to the hotel in uniform (that way they won't ask anything) and take the free hotel shuttle. I use one of these two options when I have to park there.

I park in short term at SFO for $13/day. You will have to visit their office in the parking garage during business hours, show your airline ID and sign a log. They will give you a book of coupons with witch you get the 13 rate. Costs a little (tax deductable) money, but it's sure convienient.
