Default Cool SW ad in WSJ

SW has a cool ad in the Wall Street Journal

They show their fare and the competitors fare, both are equal.
It talks about holding it up to the light. We you pick up the page you see all of the competitors additonal fees. The other fees are printed on the back of the page and the light makes then shine through the page.

Pure genius.

Too bad all of the fees are wrong, I'm sure they went up faster than they could get the ad to print.

Are the soda, peanuts and checked bags "for free" or are they just cleverly included in the fare?

didn't get the ad since i read wsj online, but it's good to hear of another pilot on the forum who appreciates economics...

Included.

Believe me, (although it's honest), the a` la carte pricing doesn't work here in the US of A.

God Bless 11, 175, 77 and 93 crewmembers and families.

Never forget.

They are just cleverly included in the fare. They cleverly include fuel and maintenance too.

It'd be great if they started having safety upgrades. Here is a good one: Your seat cushion is certified as a flotation device but for $10 you can rent a life vest.

Sadly, I read @ least one airline got rid of life vests on their aircraft over the past 6 months as part of the 'cost savings' trend.

If memory serves me, it was American Eagle.

Great ad, and great sentiment. Never forget, not just on 9/11, but every day.
