Anybody thinks April makes sense? I am not sure, but isn't that a relatively slow month? I mean if they can get through March without calling anyone they probably won't need anyone for April. Am I right or is April higher traffic than March?

I don't know for sure, but I am having second thoughts about any recalls until the fall. I really want to think positive about this Co. but with this economy, new Gov, and the NK/Indigo/Oaktree/BBB/and everyone in between, I just have to many doubts about it. Not like is any better somewhere else, but its probably time to start looking at other options. My budget takes me to April W/o a job, but I don't think I want to wait that long.
I don't know...

There really is no way we have enough crew to cover all the flying scheduled this spring, and you can forget about the summer schedule. The coverage isn't going to get any better if we win the four day off arbitration, as BBB himself said it will mean around 20 more pilots. I personally don't understand why their hasn't been a recall announced yet, but I can tell you this......The only two choices the company has is to recall pilots and get a few airplanes or cancel some of the growth announced for March, May, and June.

Here is a breakdown of some of the increases that I found on another board...

MYR-ORD starts March 1st.
FLL-ORD goes from 1 to 2 flights daily on March 1st.
FLL-NAS goes from 1 to 2 flights daily on March 5th.
FLL-LAX resumes May 1st.
FLL-LAS resumes May 1st.
FLL-SJU goes from 2 to 4 flights WTHFSSU on May 1st with 3 flights on MT. It goes up to 5 flights daily June 18th.
MCO-SJU goes from 2 to 3 flights daily on May 2nd.
BOS-ACY starts May 1st.
FLL-STI starts June 19th.

Looking at the reserve coverage system wide I can see how we have a little room to add lines in March, so maybe the company is just waiting for the arbitrator's ruling before committing to any staffing increases.

I am rooting hard for you guys, and any news I hear that I can confirm as true I will post.

They don't have a hard date. The date is whenever the arbitrator decides to fax over his decision. It's on his time. It could come over the fax any day.

This of course is all 5 hand or worse info most of it from another board.
The real story is that the cargo compartments were different and it would cost too much to convert. Nothing to do with crew training.
