Guys this seems like the one halfway descent thread we have going for NK and I see it getting shut down if folks want to walk right into kubota's obvious flame bait.
Ignore this scum bag!

The flight crews have always been nice... well at least while I was on board one of their filthy jets.
lighen up GRD'edhound
How is that claim against the company coming along or is this thread just about NK's furloughed guys and how the Kool Aid drinker think the place is?

wow, 4 posts total under your belt and you decide to come to this thread and start with everyone? Buzz off back to the regional board and come back when you have ATP minimums! Better yet, go do 6 legs a day in your Barbie Jet, followed by an 8 hr layover in Ft. Wayne

This thread has had nothing to due with the lawsuit for quite sometime. It is best described as the rumor network.
As for filthy planes I totally disagree. Having DH and commuted on them COUNTLESS times I would say they are some of the cleanest AC I have flown on. Having a 3 leg commute coast to coast really lets you experience different companies. I would put gate agents at Spirit in FLL in line with AA agents in DTW and Delta agents in ATL or even Alaska agents in SEA. I have been treated terrible by gate agents at every company, including SW, and I have also been treated great by gate agents at every company.
The lawsuit is over. I didn't pay much attention to the results but I believe we lost the fight on door closure vs wheels rolling. But I was told the schedules in JAN all have 4 days off so maybe we won that one.
As for purchasing something while non-reving... I never had to. All it takes is a hello to the FA and I'm a pilot with Spirit if you need anything just ask and they take good care of you.
I am answering all of your questions. If you feel like beating down Spirit for some unknown reason, please address the more important issues. Like the lack of leadership in our pilot group or the inability of management to communicate anything with any other part of the company.

Once again no answers?
Have ATP, not furloughed and will be working for uncle Sam shortly
Didn't get a chance to get hired right out of college into that "big" airbus with 300 hrs; must be pretty tough though.
Just rode on you a few times (pilots were great) and was appauled at the product that Ben and his Indigo buds give to the public. Happy I didn't have to pay! Just google your airline and see what comes up, hope you have some thick skin. Whats up with the paper copy of briefing cards?
Being I don't work for you I can't say something negative?
Sorry for asking a few questions, guess they can not be answered by you guys. (company not keeping you very informed?)
Hopefully you'll get a few more airplanes and get back above 30 planes again. For you furloughed guys, good luck.

Anyone is more than welcome to come on this board and ask a few questions, however, WE will not stand for some little rj pilot coming over here and insulting our pilots, aircraft, or company. Its not necessary, very unprofessional, and shows your ignorance and youth in this business.
I notice you have declined to tell us what company you fly for....why is that? Are you embarrased? Please tell us who your employer is so we here at Spirit will know what airline is perfect, what aircraft are spotless, and where we should all submit applications to!
BTW, what questions have you asked of us? All I have read are snide comments and insults. You want to know aboput Spirit, I will tell you. We are a small company, made smaller recently because of some **** poor management decisions. We have a different product than most other US airlines, and we feel if you dont like it, go pay 10x more at AA or Delta. Funny though that most majors are slowly adopting policies and practices that we were once ridiculed for. Our pilot group has been in heated negotiations for over two years for a fair contract, and we are willing to strike to get it. We are proud of the job we do, and take a lot of pride in our work. We have some of the best work rules in the business, and will fight to keep them. Our airplanes are kept, for the most part, clean. I will say they are as clean as any others I have traveled on during my 2 leg commute. There, that is Spirit Airlines.
Im glad you are getting a job as a fed, cuz you and your attitude would have NEVER made it very far in this business.

So if you don't work for NKS, you have "just rode on us a few times", and have that super cool ATP...why bother coming to our thread? How many other posts have you found an NKS employee coming in and bashing company to company. It must be a pleasure to work with you, as you seem to exude such a high level of respect for your fellow colleagues. In fact, in my years of doing this business I have found very few people with your attitude. However, you have at least given some of us furloughed guys something to do, for that I applaud you. Oh, and no need to bash our riddle guys...that's our job.
Do you need some french cries to hold you over on your whhaaaaambulance ride?
