I think it will be an overall good thing, however I think there are a lot more than the one pilot gator mentioned that don't want to move out of SJU. Maybe guys that are there currently but they hired a whole class of pilots near the end of the hiring that were locals.
I feel sorry for those folks but overall it is still a good thing I think. Besides there are a lot more folks that were in that same position in DTW and would love to get back there.
Just something to bring up...

Anyway I agree with what gator said and also in the end is should mean less of us sitting on reserve, and unless that kind of thing is your bag than that's a good thing.

I am just saying that I see this questions coming as a negotiation tool. Lean means giving. I don't want to give a dime to them. They owe me 5 or more months of crappy life as it is. I would like to see paid for that furlough down the road not the other way around.

FWIW heard recently we're closing on 20 A320s from some spanish airline. Anyone heard anything about this?

I was about to say, looks like Spirit didn't report their financial data to the DOT. Hmmm...

I've heard all the A320 rumors. My question is are we going to keep the 319s, or use the sale of our 319s as a way to pay for the 320s? I can't imagine us suddenly adding 20 planes...I mean, where would they go? FLL? For all we know, we could have 2 321s, 20 320s, and send even more people out on the street. I hope I'm wrong; I'm itching to get my hands back on Fifi.

Just heard that one a few days ago, 10 this winter and ten more end of 09.....I will believe it when I see 'em but I'm just glad all the rumors are going in a positive direction. I have learned there is usually at least some bit of truth to most rumors you hear.

If I am correct, we did not sell the 319s. They were early lease returns. We never got a dime for those. We got lucky if they did not make us pay penalties.

20 planes? That is as realistic as NK closing doors Jan 1st. I would be happy with 4-5 before the summer season. That would probably get back everyone who still wants to come back.

I mean adding 20 takes a long long time and many more new markets. Well over a year or even two. Since when did NK have a plan that was looking forward beyond a year and got accomplished without going through X major changes? By the time the first 320 would hit the line they will be thinking about 321s or 319s again... ahhh... forget it.

Seriously folks... reading rumors on these websites going from one extreme to the other is as bad to my health as heavy drinking. I just told my wife I am heading to the liqueur store because that at least is fun. Who is in?
