Question for Delta Guys
A young cousin of mine, who would like to become a pilot, was boarding a Delta flight and asked if he could have a look at the cockpit and was told he could not.
Is this a company policy?

It depends on how busy/late they are...a lot of folks need to get in and out of the cockpit in the few minutes before the door is shut. A sightseer would be a roadblock.
It's always up to the CA too...I'd try it on another flight.

Agreed. I love when they come up. That's what I did when I was young and now I'm the very pilot I always dreamed of being. I let them get pictures in my seat and hand out baseball cards of the 757. Always a treat when they visit.

I agree. I never refused a request for someone to come up. I used to go up for a look when I was young. Had some very nice Delta Captains offer me many words of encouragement. That's why I was so surprised, I thought there must be some new rule or policy about it. He actually tried twice, two different aircraft/crews, and was refused both times. But I'll tell him to keep trying.
