I'm a pilot with a major and I still have high hopes for my flying career. However, I'm working on my MBA at the moment. The trouble with the airline industry is that it's very small. There's a mere handful of majors out there.
I have done a lot of research into career prospects for both pilots and MBA's. It came as no shock that MBA's have greater prospects in a much larger world.

Al,
Wow, you'll be the perfect candidate for working in an airline mgmt position then...although later, much later....when you can't or don't want to fly anymore (one's passion always comes first, I think). You'll have perfect insight into both sides of the equation. Wouldn't your fellow comrades benefit from that??? You're the perfect candidate to make a difference.
I am happy to hear about it...you chose a great combination. I had a great mentor who always drilled into me that leadership and management are PRIVILEGES, not merely jobs, and that they come with a huge responsibility to everyone you are trying to lead.
