Another United Recall Class
On the UAL ALPA board, seniority #7871, 2/21/00 hire, was offered recall to the 5 June class. Half airbus, half guppy, multiple domiciles. He stated that he will bypass for now.

I was hired a month after 7871 and will likely bypass.
Keep the updates coming.

Glad to have a steady job for now (albeit pouring coffee)

How could a pilot group vote 70%+ to get rid of the A fund is beyond me. That vote saved UAL $140M per year when it was losing 400M+ per quarter. I hope you guys get the pay and work rules back but it would have never happened in my lifetime. ALPA's mis information and lies during the last vote was a shocker, especially by the DEN LEC Chairman.

It's a tough decision as to where to go, but I'm slogging away in the AF Reserves, getting close to a military retirement. I'll keep that up until I can return to UAL with a bit of seniority ... I have no desire to return to the LCO.

What was the most distressing thing was that the vote to terminate the pension was done without permitting the retiress to have any input.
What a horrible message was sent to management with that vote.
All is JMHO.
PS - I was JFK, also.
