UAL Furlough numbers out
#131
Or, look what can happen if you give it your best shot have some good fortune and/or luck. When I was struggling at the non-scheds after furlough from USAir in '90 I looked at those doing well as inspiration, not as someone to be envied or resented...knock yourself out sport. Or you can (or maybe already have) take(n) your kids to skid row, wring/wrung your hands and say/said "....life is so bad, you might end up like these guys, so set your sights low so you'll never be disappointed or try to rise above what was handed to you..."
Another motivational speaker or sales person for Dr. Kevorkian's emporium. You and Sky High should get together and celebrate defeatism and mediocrity. At least it's impossible to fail.
Living life like you two I should have given up four airlines ago.
I'm soooo inspired.

If you've been in the airline business for at least 30 years, there's an old saying that is as true today as it was in the late 1970's. "The more things change, the more they stay the same."
Rotten deal I know. I switched to corporate flying back in the early 1990's. I thought from time to time I made the wrong move as I watched what would have been my seniority number bid better and better lines right up through to what now would have me bidding at about 10-15%.
Of course, right now, isn't one of those times. It's boom town where I'm at right now and there isn't a payscale anywhere at UAL that matches what I take home today. Check back with me in a year . . . . like I said, things like to change . . . .
