Canadian Airlines Top Capt pay was no where near 300K/year...............in fact no airline pays their top Capts that. For a Very...........stress on very short time.....about a year, United and Delta had a pay scale where very senior Widebody Capts made salaries in the High 200's. A few Senior guys could top out above 300K.
You are either just being childish and are trying to stir the pot..........or you are extremely ill informed.........................
Who did you say you worked for again?????????????

RedeyeAVR8, crewdawg52 , yes real mature response, i think we are way off topic here and are starting to get into a ****ing match, which i for one am not interested in. the whole point of this thread is don't fault people who are willing to work for Virgin America or any other Startup carrier which is not able to pay the legacy wages.
you don't know what it is like until you walk a mile in an unempolyed pilots' shoes.
Like i said it's real easy to critize from your nice flight deck which earns you a pretty living, but don't judge those who are willing to do it for less( they are not asking you to work for free) 80k /yr( or whatever the pay may Be) is not chiken feed.
like i have been saying all along the industry is changing, the north american economy can not aford to pay the wages of old.
