NWA DC9 Personal Leaves

They will be off the schedule by October 1. Some rumors have them gone in September too. It will take till the end of the year or more to return them to the lessors. They need to be in a certain condition before being returned.

Are you referring to the DC9s? I thought they were all payed for and owned.

Its funny nobody mentioned that Feb. hires are already holding the bus though. I guess you guys prefer to only talk about the "negative" stuff. How long before FOs start getting displaced to the bus?

The contract the pilots agreed upon has the narrow body floor set 1 year after bankruptcy. I think the 1 year point occurs soon. The more DC-9s that get parked (removed from service) the more RJs will be allowed to be added to a capped amount (I don't recall the what the narrow body floor is or what the max number of RJs -- the 76 seaters was). Rest assured NWA will get the max amount of 76 seaters they can. This is why Compass was so key to the management. I believe Mesaba recieved a load of CRJs that that have 76 seats.
