I was in HNL last week at 5:30 pm, sitting in the lineup off Wakkiki waiting for my wave. I had checked in to my room one hour before after a 6 1/2 hr flight and now I am surfing until sunset AND getting $2/hr per diem to do so. Life is good!

Where are you renting your boards from? We layover at the O-rigger East, (now the Ohana East), and there is a pretty decent surf shop around the corner from Kings Village on Koa Ave called Koa Board Sports. They mostly use decent demos, (unlike the POS waterlogged ones on the beach), and are $15.00/day.
Surf Waikiki on all my layovers and usually do Queens or Canoes. Nice to see a fellow waterman that flies as well.

It seems that the link doesn't work and a search brought up many movies. What's the title?

the video was done by an AA FO. he has it posted @ his personal site @ "http://homepage.mac.com/kentwien/iMovieTheater126.html" - note - you may need to download & install apple's quicktime player, if you don't have it on your computer already. he has some other great aviation videos there.
