A lot of airlines do EWBS. If you're weighted out of a jumpseat on Eagle its probibly an ERJ and thats the airplane not the WB method. I have personally seen many CAs call load planning to get more non-revs and jumpseaters on when they can.

If the gate agent says you wont make it, stick around and try and talk to the Cpt. It may be impossible but most of them will try to help you out however they can.
