I didn't have any LORs on file, so I hustled and brought four with me to the interview. They never asked for them and I completely forgot about them. Got the job offer. Doesn't mean the letters can't help, I guess, but that was my experience.

Kind of a side question, but an interview topic nonetheless.
On the DELTA Invitiation it says -
"For travel, testing and during interview process ... suits, sport coat and coordinated trousers with dress tie for gentlemen."
Can someone who was offered the job let me know if they traveled to ATL in a suit or something else? I (obviously) have the suit for the interview, just curious if I need to break out another one for travel to/from or is "smart casual" OK - you know nice dockers and a polo shirt?
Thanks, probably over thinking it, but hey it's what the email says...

Myself and another interviewee who also got hired both wore our uniforms down and back. As long as you look professional and are representing the company well, you're fine. Good luck!

PS - Day 2 attire is the same as Day 1 - your business suit. Everyone wore the same one they interviewed in the day before, but you might want to bring an additional shirt. You know, so you have that clean, fresh feeling.

Have any of you been updating your online applications, or have you left them alone since you got the interview invitation? I want to update my reference section for letters of rec and some other misc. stuff. Also, does anyone know how soon before your interview do they pull your application? I know a prior post said a few days. Is that the standard? Once again, good luck all.

I wore business casual for the trip to ATL. Basically khakis with a short-sleeve button down shirt (no tie). I carried my suit in a garment bag. I thought about wearing my uniform so I could get my shaving cream and toothpaste through security but instead I went to Target and spent $2 on the travel sizes of the things I needed.
Like the other poster said, you're expected to wear the suit on day 2 as well. I only brought one shirt and I wish I had brought another. At least I had brought two white T-shirts to wear underneath so I didn't smell too gamey.
As far as the application, I updated some stuff the second night before the interview (ie. Monday night for a Wednesday interview) and brought that version with me. The reason is that I was busy flying and this was the only time I could update it in the window they give in the interview letter. At the actual interview, they had the older version of the application. I just told them some of the changes I had made, they then changed it on their copy and had me sign it. I would say that if the changes are minor, it's no big deal.
It was a great experience. Everyone was super nice and they really made an effort to make you feel welcome and relaxed.
I got the nod and am waiting for my cleared to train letter and class date. I can't wait to start.

As long as you can have a clean suit, a clean shirt, a clean tie to show up for your interview, you're all set. You may want to bring an extra shirt, in case you spill something on your first set. The Delta now is not the same as in 8 years ago (pre 9-11), where you can tell everyone wear custom made suit, shoes shinier than the mirror. They are still conservative, but has become more practical over the years.
Don't worry about wearing a red tie. It's almost comical to see 7 red ties in the whole group, and i'm the only one wearing blue... I got that funny feeling they thought i was showing up for the FA interview, but in the end it's all good...
