p1ayn,
no sim sessions. just a very basic get to know you interview. If you are called you are basically hired unless you really mess up bad or someone black balls you.no games, no tech. questions. just a tell us about a time...........

F.F.
very few if any can afford to bypass upgrade here. the step up is a joke. I more than doubled my pay even on min. gar. on reserve. Most of the twa guys seem to have rode the A.A. wagon far enough . the ole fool me once shame on..........fool me twice........not gonna happen.
I may look to come back in the future. this commute stinks but i need ole wiffee to go back to being the bread winner again before i can even think about it and also another 2000 recalls!

Good Luck! It's a very easy going interview. Hope it goes well.

Just returned from interview. Went very well in my opinion, the three that did the interviews were great and make you feel at ease. Good things seem to be happening there. Hopefully I will hear something in 7 days or so.

I just finished indoc and it seems like candidates are coming in almost daily. I think there were a couple slots to be filled for the 12/17 class as of Wed. The interviews are very straight forward and the people are extremely nice. If your here, it's yours to screw up.

There was a class for the 17th offered if we wanted. The next is 14th of Jan then every 3 weeks after that. Sounds like a good future there, keeping fingers crossed.

Tazzed, I don't disagree with your position, but you and I both know that of 1890 furloughed TWA pilots many are at the top of the pay scale over $105/hr. Unless they are TRS Capts (which some are-and they are junior AA pilots because they were furloughed early by AMR and were able to get hired early by Air Tran), the ones that are not would be very tempted to go back to making a 6 digit salary and work 3-4 days a month less, even if it is with the evil empire....just my humble opinion.

The AMR recalls are in the middle of our 1989 hires right now. Although nothing is certain in this funny industry it is certain that they will go back at the top of the pay scale because they were hired by TWA almost 20 years ago.

http://airlinepilotcentral.com/airli.../american.html

Most will go back between $108-116/hr. and will be able to excercise their TWA seniority (18 years) in STL (one of the few crumbs that the APA afforded to them).

I dont post this to offend you, just to show you what myself and my contemporaries are contemplating when faced with career decisions...best of luck.
