Look at it this way, You take the job at Virgin for 60K/yr and begin a new career, set up retirement etc....10 years from now your making 100K/yr and some young upstart begins "SlutAir" starting at 50K/yr... Virgin can't compete and your fu#@ed , they'll always be young starry-eyed piper drivers who'll fly an A-320 for free, so the benchmark continues to fall lower...and any airline will be competitive paying their entire workforce first year salary, when the likes of DElta and AA are paying loyal employess 20 year pay!!!
