Exclamation Regretfully, that Dog has lost many teeth.

The title says it. Remember AA? How about the NWA mechanics? What about scope clauses? How many RJ operators are out there vs. ten years ago. We have had too many things to go wrong for a strike to create much of a benefit. UA's pilot group ad in USA Today was a start. We need to get media exposure. We need to seek representation with law makers. I am not talking about paying lobbiests. I am talking about personal calls and emails to the people whose district or state you reside in. Barbara Dole has gotten a few emails from me. I am trying to work on the other two to find their hot buttons or areas of concern and apply the aviation litmus test to them.

As a side note, has anyone notice the news about Mexican trucking companies gaining access to the US market? This change happened this week! Will we be next? Mexicana between LAX and DFW? Why not?

ATA complains about congested airways and airports and blaming corporate and general aviation. Claiming that they are not paying their fair share. Hah! They self induced. How many RJs does it take to replace a 767 or 777 on a domestic trunk line? How much more resources are used? We have ended up with a lot more traffic and a lot of sub-prime paid pilots.
