I think the mailman is just screwing with me. Its day 3 since the letters started arriving and I still haven't heard yea or nay. I interviewed July 11th and of the group of 18, there have been 8 yeas, 5 nays, and 4 no replies.
My gut instinct says the mailman will win tomorrow (no references called)...I should know by noon or so.
And my last name starts with a "B" so I don't buy the whole alphabet angle.

I heard that they split the new hire list by last name and assign the chief pilots with who to call. I was thinking that if the names of all the forgotten folks fell into K-P (since that's where I fall), then maybe it's just one chief pilot that's too busy to call. I'm really just thinking too much... I'm going to shut up and color until I get a yea or nay.

Interviewed on 6/25, group of 16, so far we have 4 letters, no calls and a partrige in a pear tree. Nothin but crickets at my house so far . . . where did I put those crayons??

Score one for the mailman. I will add the letter to my collection! Although I hate being turned down, its sort of a relief. I have a class date with UAL next month and I'd hate to be second guessing my decision for the next 27 years if I made the right choice between the two.
I'll still be driving to work, so life is good!
Best of luck to everyone in the pool.
