Real high value customers do not care that their "senior mamas" aren't cute 20-somethings. Cute 20-somethings can barely make it through the day. Go find a leg with real senior mamas and get out of your seat right after setting the brake. I've seen HVC giving hugs to the senior FAs because they did such an incredible job taking care of the customers who pay the most. These customers see them every week on their transcon "commute" and know them on an almost personal basis. A 20-something new-hire is WAY out of their league when compared to the most senior of FAs.
We've all worked with amazing FAs and horrible ones. There is no demographic that is better nor worse. You get what you negotiate for

get real? The FAs where I work have made thousands and thousands of dollars yearly on my union’s (ie, my fellow pilots’) back. And in return, they despise us.
so if they don’t like the job, or it doesn’t pay enough for them and they are to stupid or lazy to find a better-paying job, I really don’t care. They aren’t subject to indentured servitude.

the amount of fear of and animosity for flight attendants some pilots have here is astonishing. weirdly, if you treat them like people and value them, they return the same

It really is that easy. It's sad what I've seen some pilots turn a simple and respectful, profesional work interaction into.

If you broke down the actual work on the jet, flight attendants deserve higher hourly wages than us. They work waaaaay harder through out the day. Have some empathy and they treat you just fine. They get grouchy just like pilots

you know youre winning the internet when you live rent free in someones head by getting mentioned randomly in another thread. FWIW This guy has 2 accounts or speaks about himself in the 3rd person like a loon.I wouldnt take anything he says as having substance.
If you broke down the actual work on the jet, flight attendants deserve higher hourly wages than us. They work waaaaay harder through out the day. Have some empathy and they treat you just fine. They get grouchy just like pilots

With that said they have their tools as we do except they have direct contact with our customers.
