A340 abort testing
This gives you a idea of what can happen after a high gross weight abort. The request for no intervention was to meet certification requirements for time after a abort without assistance. Advance to 4:45 on the video if bored.

I feel like the above crew might have benefitted from a more detailed and involved briefing with the ground crew beforehand lmao.

You might have thought so considering it's Airbus test pilots.

I remember watching the PBS doc on building the 777.
When it came to "The Big One" (high speed abort test), I remember there being a pretty in-depth briefing between the engineers, the airport CFR personnel at Edwards and the pilots, even a day before the test. John Cashman made things very clear about how he expected things to go down and various contingencies.
Not saying it didn't happen here, but it looked WAY less organized than Boeing's test (back when Boeing was actually a good company).
