Pilot faces prison for falsifying medical

You and I are talking about difference things. Veterans Preference, 5 U.S.C. § 211, only applies to federal civil service positions. Not all, but many. There are a host of other laws like VEVRAA that prescribe hiring practices with respect to veterans for federal contractors, but it is not the same as veterans preference.

For the record, I believe the accused is innocent until proven guilty and I hope they get their day in court.

I was attempting to set the example that we should all give fellow pilots the benefit of the doubt, instead of being so quick to criticize, correct, and condemn.
...... but thank you for proving my point!

So you believe he should be given the "benefit of the doubt" despite three convictions? At what point in your opinion should "the benefit of the doubt" cease to pertain? Only after losing at the Supreme Court? And woukd the same standard apply to non pilots?
