I had two good friends get lost in training. They both requested an extra sim period. Whoops! No room in the schedule. Go home and we'll call you. 3 months later...
I was lucky to have avoided the CLT training center. Lots of stories about people needing extra time or busts on non-jeopardy recurrents.

happens even in the computer age. Was in training and the sim broke. Got sent home to wait. The check kept coming, expired landings and all. 3 months later the wife was pestering me to call them. I told her if I did I'd be back in class within the week. She let it go. At 4 months she made me call. I was in class 3 days later. This was during the beginning of the AA bankruptcy. Well, at least I had the winter off.

I actually had Lori tell me to my face once (when she was still here) that the CLT training center is better because "we teach the US Airways way and AA doesn't know anything about flying the Airbus".
That said all of my experiences there have been fine and I've been flying the 320 series for over 10 years.

This happened to me at DL post COVID. Got sent home during sims and got "lost" for 3 months. Finished sims then got lost again. Had to redo sims bc I expired on everything. Took me a year to get to OE. Not a bad way to burn probation but that training pay was tough for the full year.
