I lived in NJ back in '09 and saw the bus floating in The Hudson. Cynical side of me said "man I hope skipper isn't over 60." Thankfully Sully was 57 and retired early. Makes me chuckle. Skiles is doing all he can to be "the other guy."

“Mark Ritter perhaps this group should have solicited the Colgan 3407 group. They were very instrumental in the implementation of so many rule changes. They had the ear of Congress and were relentless in their commitment to bring about change. Particularly the 1500 hour rule and their insistence the cockpit have experienced and qualified pilots. These were family members of those killed in that tragic accident. I have to believe they would have supported the rule change to age 67. During the FAA reauthorization negotiations, the airline proposed relaxing the 1500 requirement and this group was right on top of it, demanding no change to 1500. They want experience in the cockpit. They have the ear of congress. They'd be a good ally”
Are they going to sue the 3407 families when they don’t agree to 67? 🤡

Anytime something happens they are quick to post it with #experiencematters without any details.
Forget about the fact that the skies were safe 10 years ago with people less than 65 years old. Forget that none of them were lobbying congress 30 years ago about age discrimination.
All you need to know is that nothing bad will ever happen again if someone’s PawPaw is at the controls.
The sad thing is the LEPF are asking for more money and I know some of them are paying. There are some investment tips about “throwing good money after bad” and “this time it’s different”, but why start making good investment decisions now?

The angrier the pro-67 geezers get on facebook, the happier it makes me. Is that wrong?
Their suggestion to sue Sully--America's favorite pilot!--shows how absurdist their whole campaign has become. I'ts a fringe special interest group of seriously maladjusted millionaires who can't cope with a retirement they know has been coming for decades.
