Pilots get pulled over at security with guns on a somewhat regular basis too. Just because they don't need to bring anything doesn't mean they won't.
I haven’t seen any stats on the ratio of pilots to fa that are caught with weapons vs drugs. Can anyone point me to some real numbers?

I agree with everything said about pilots being less of a security risk than some new hire FA. But who cares about drugs? Is that really TSAs job? Shouldn't customs be doing that?

It's really not a safety issue if some FA is carrying drugs on a plane in their bag.

what if the flight attendant touches her leaking fentanyl bag and then rubs her nose. Before you know it we are below min crew and then that’s when the paper work starts.

Fentanyl on a aircraft is not a safety hazard especially given the effects of pressurization cycles on tightly wrapped packages?

My brother was a undercover drug cop for many years. Talk to him. Fentanyl can kill you in many ways. They treat it as a toxic substance where the fumes or touching it can kill you.

Yes you wouldn't want a bag rupturing and spewing large quantities of pure fentanyl on a plane. But presumably the cartels know how to pack the stuff by now.
