One has to wonder about a guy who shows up to troll a web board in a career he has nothing to do with. What motivates a guy with no skin in the game to quibble in such a manner? What's the upside? Does he think he's going to affect any kind of change? What a sad life. Maybe Sonic Flyer and Nick Bradshaw are the same guy.

Retirement lists won’t help you now. If you walk around major hubs, it’s all young legacy FOs walking around

If his only goal is to be a widebody captain, sure. But it'll still help for everything else. AA retires 45% of its list in the next 10 years - even if you get hired at 55, that'll matter.

So you’d already have to be half way up the list now to enjoy the best seniority.

NOBODY knows for sure what happens at any company for any significant length of time. Retirements at least give insight into how many have to be hired in order to just not shrink.
History shows though that if sheitz hits the fan some airlines will shrink.

Best time to buy Amazon stock was in 1997 as well. I remember people pouring $1000's into it in 99-00 and the company was losing millions quarterly. Turns out A $10K investment at it's IPO was worth over $16M two years ago (its 25th anniversary). That same investment is now worth over $24M just two years later.

As the Egyptian's used to say, "hindsight is 20/20"

Well, that ship sailed a long time ago. But there's a lot of good QOL to be had at an airline without being at the very top of the list.

That’s an exceedingly ignorant and incorrect comment. Might as well just go to Breeze, right? 🙄
