Looks like you actually made some good deals in your costs. There are kids out there with big college loans plus training costs over $300K.

About 300k from my pay and small ownership percentage in the contracting firm I work for. I am also on the 401k committee there so if anyone has questions about some of this retirmenet stuff, I may be able to answer. Also another $80k from first year or so as Narrowbody FO.

Pay used to be much higher there but like I said I transitioned away to a smaller role so I can fly too. The place consumed me and I like flying because it is not as intensive. Maybe I am just getting lazy but I have realized the stress isn't worth it, especially with my house being paid off and I still DCA into the market each month.

$1,874 was VFN (200%)
Better than I would have guessed.

You put DCA in the market? That place is gross.

Anyways, back on topic. I didn’t work for my airline in 2021.

CSEL/CMEL/instruments 141 training: $36400
Petrol: $2604
Insurance: $1300 (should be partially refunded)
Profits from selling plane: $3600
Resume review: $125
Emerald coast interview prep: $400
Raven airline app review (irony not lost on me): $300
Logbook software: $300+ and 3 different ones tried. Still not sure if I like what I got.
Checkrides: $1900
ATP-CTP: $3999
ATP written and study software: $225

Starting off at a home based cargo airline I never dreamed I'd get for my first venture into this profession. Pretty damn priceless.

No disrespect to you but where are they going to find pilots to fly widebody aircraft in the next couple of years if you got hired recently? How many fixed wing hours do you have? I am truly happy for you but boy, things have changed. Amazing times!
