3 year FO (Bus)
commuter
195k wages
31k 401k
avg 14 days off a month
picked up several premium trips first half of the year, nothing in the second half.
Just jumped to a legacy for the ability to have a long drive to work.
also 301k from my consulting gig. (I too like adding random income into airline pay discussions).

Atlas 8th Yr 747 Capt:
$450k gross
$26.8k company 401k contribution
($476.8k total compensation)
740 hrs
Average 15 days off per month.
Worked a bit extra and sold back 2 out of 3 weeks vacation but I didn't miss them. Had quite a few full months off through bidding smartly.
Surprisingly didn't feel like I worked terribly hard but then again a good portion of those hours were spent sleeping in the bunk.

ATI, 767 3 year FO $172,000 but worked ALOT extra this year. Blocked 661 hours. They offer 50% of up to 6% 401K match. I averaged 10 days off per month. Definitely other places seem more appropriate if you want to make extra $.

I slightly exaggerated the numbers to highlight the point I was getting at, but yeah the math doesn’t add up in some of these posts. Atlas skipper 8yr banking $450K with 15 days off each month…? @ $276/hr, that’s 1650 credit hours for the year, 135/month. Takes a bit more than selling back vacay and picking up a trip here and there. As my Atlas buddy texted me in response: 15 days off a month doesn’t mean 15 days at home per month. Merry Xmas / Happy Holidays however y’all do it!

Won’t be working as hard this year. I don’t do 4-5 leg day trips. Avg is prob 2.5. Some days I’ll do 1-2. Some days I’ll do 2-3.
Its not a WB type schedule…but I drive to work and don’t work holidays or weekends.

Hey the numbers are the numbers, man. Just reporting what I did. I didn't count gateway days but I live close enough to base to drive. No matter what airline you work for that's the key to fine living. Just helps that Atlas only makes you do it once a month so you can drive a lot farther. That plus quite a few months of deadheading direct from home to an outstation on day 1 (or 2...) and it really adds up.
