Looks like someone was up pretty late last night to get these pictures of the first 787 on it's gear headed to the paint shop at PAE.

those are some massive engines. looks like the engines are as big around as the fuselage.

Makes you wonder if the upward bend in the wings is due to engine clearance, aerodynamics, or structures. It sure looks good whatever the cause. The trend toward larger engines is of course to increase thrust by greater mass flow.

It looks like the B767 and B777 performed an assignation, and the result is the 787.
