FAA doesn't decide the age limit.
ALPA in their genious let politicians decide critical things about our career. Congress makes the laws and congress changes the laws. 67 is on the way just a matter of this year or next year. Airlines can execute on growth plans and everybody wins , both junior guys move up quicker and those at the top can choose to fly two trips a month for two more years and retire at full SS benefit of 67. I see nothing wrong with that. ALPA refuses to make retirement a priority so I say screw em.

Boomers grow up babysat by Howdy Doody and the Micky Mouse Club. Never told no because their parents went without things during The War.
Become hippies with free love, psychedelic drugs, and burning draft cards.
Drafted to fight in Vietnam if they weren't rich enough to get out of it.
Discoed through the 70s. More drugs. Elected Jimmy Carter and tanked the economy.
Regan (Greatest Generation) came along and tried to fix things.
Boomers suddenly find themselves wealthy. Yuppies. DINKS. Wall Street. Conspicuous consumption.
Gen X basically raises ourselves while our selfish parents are out selfing.
Savings and Loan Scandal. Economy tanks.
Clinton and Gingrich come in the 90s and try to fix things.
Boomers find themselves wealthy again. Wall Street is back! Party time!
Dot Com Crash. Y2K (Boomer programmers wasted in the 70s too lazy to program 4 digit years?)
Dubya gets elected. First boomer president!
9/11. "Global War on Terrorism". Complete global instability. Corporate greed takes advantage. Economy tanks.
Boomers try to leverage their way out of it. Subprime mortgages. HELOCs. Junk bonds.
2008 economy collapse. Banks fail. "Great Depression II" being considered.
Obama (first Gen X president!) comes along and tries to fix things.
Boomers find themselves wealthy again! Party time!
Country run amok.
Trump comes along and tries to fix things.
Boomers still party time!
Covid hits.
Boomer Biden becomes president.
Economy collapses.
Boomers cry how they got shafted their whole lives and deserve charity. Try to pull up the ladder...
And on the cycle goes until they die.
Meanwhile X, Y, and Z are competing for the scraps that are left in the world wondering if we'll ever get a turn.

"Get a turn"... You make my case. Go MAKE it your turn like we did. As for a flying career. I lived through 9/11, age 65 and the recession of 2007. I can live through the great recession of 2022 and age 67 also. If the industry takes a dump, I'll go do something else. There is life outside of your parents basement.
Gen-X grew up in the 70s and early 80s under threat of nuclear holocaust.

Gen-X will do just fine. We were raised to be survivors. We're the generation that watched the movie "Wall Street" and looked at Gordon Gekko and his "Greed is good" philosophy as a GOOD THING. We went with it. It's the millennials and snowflakes that just want handouts.

No argument that the millennials and zoomers want free stuff and whine when they don't get it. They'll be way worse than the boomers when they age.

Cute meme, but I'm a solid X'er too, who did all the same things you did, and I'm here to tell you, we're getting skipped.
