It’s a contractual medical plan. Has some quirks but your situation would have to be very specific for it not to be the best plan for you at SWA. Max $2500 out of pocket with low deductible. Some preventative not covered but easily manageable. Called a PPO. Covers whole family. We have a good Facebook page for that plan that helps you navigate all the quirks.
we have a super cheap HSA plan some people swear by also.
We have a lot of work to do on our disability plans!

Is it typical to commercial deadhead that much? Were you on reserve? I'm surprised they don't just put you on a company aircraft.

The SWA “Regular Plan” which is a PPO is quite exceptional. It has some drawbacks for preventative care but that’s easily manageable. I also believe it doesn’t have pregnancy coverage so that’s something to keep in mind (we are well past that in the Frosty household). Otherwise it’s great with $0 monthly cost for the entire family and $2500 max out of pocket for the family. I’ve heard of people keeping it as primary and Tri-Care as secondary but I’m no where near learned enough on that topic.

This is very impressive; considering your hourly rate being sub 100 . Good for you !

What are the conditions for EXTO? Is this just a COVID thing or has this always been around?

I know this is a thread for majors…but just for reference: I work for Atlas’ red headed half step brother
year 3/4 FO
176K taxable
About $10K non-elective contribution
Home based
I took 2 months of unpaid leave and always use my vacation.
Money ain’t terrible…..but you earn it the old fashioned way. The only measurable “soft time” is sleeping in the back or watching movies in the club house. The folks who work OT kill it.
