Marine MX is ridiculously shady.

I had a rep for taking pretty much anything flying but what the VMFA guys were routinely taking flying even had me raising my eyebrows.

I am a dual citizen who grew up in Canada. Toyed with the idea of getting out of the USAFR and moving back home to fly before getting hired at Delta a few years ago. But good grief I had no idea about the working conditions/pay before talking to some AC pilots. How can the union/management justify being so far behind your US counterparts? Is there any relief coming? How is morale back home?

6.3 per diem
38.5 NEC
Block 653
152 Fly days (not counting unused on reserve)
Seniority 90% in base/10% off bottom

12 (months) X 15 (days) = 180 (days available)
14 (years on property) so 4 (weeks vacation)
4 (vacation) X 4 (day reserve block) = 16 (days taken from available)
180 - 16 = 164 (days available after vac days)
166 (days available) - 152 (days used) = 14 (days unused)
About 2 per month, so used almost every day. (depending on my math)
