Except that I do work for SWA and while I bid away from 5 leg days, at least 1/4 of my schedule each month is 4 leg days, another half or more is 3-leg days. And there are enough 5-leg days in the bid packets that I have to specifically filter those bid lines out to park them at the bottom of my bid.

you just said "eh... not really" and then completely proved my point.

3 legs a day is a lot.

And then we have my next trip though kinda rare, but this is what I shoot for:

One leg on day 1, 2 legs on day 2, 1 leg on day 3.

I also said ‘at most.’

dont actually fly airplanes, but we do have corporate account to Delta and Delta private jets for company travel and we do millions in annual revenue so by definition we are a major airline.
Yeah, but do they reimburse you for parking your Scion?

At $363k, I’m pretty happy with that. Nothing much more to reach for. I saw posts of major captains making less and flying about the same.

I get it….you guys don’t see Netjets as a contender. It’s not a major. Loud and clear.

Sounds like I should’ve been a lawyer.

Moving on…

As an outsider looking in, $363’K sounds like a pretty nice pay check. When I post my first airline numbers in a couple years I don’t think it’ll be anywhere close.

You mentioned 4 weeks worth of vacation. 1 week of vacation equals 3 weeks off. So, does that mean you grossed 363k and had 12 weeks this year? Am I understanding that correctly? Genuinely curious

Honestly, I thought your post/s were very interesting and helpful. We don't get to see much from the fractional world and it's nice to see that your pay in on the rise too. $363k is a lot of $$$ for any industry. Haters gonna hate.

Yes that is correct. On the 7 on 7 off schedule, the contract requires 21 days off for 1 week of vacation. 4 weeks of vacation is 12 weeks off. We also have 12 days a year of PTO. That would give a 7/7 holder 15 weeks off with 5 remaining days of PTO should they use them. You can also sell the PTO days back.

I used all 12 days of PTO to capitalize on working days off at 2.5x the pay on a day off. Yes that did greatly add to NetJets pay in 2021. Using PTO also allowed me to work on a vacation. It was still 12 weeks off for me. 178 days worked total.

I seriously doubt NetJets pilots will see 2022 pay exceed 2021 pay. Our LOA on the 2.5x pay on a day off will end on 4/30. It will then go back to 1.5x the pay. I doubt the company will extend it beyond 4/30. Like someone said, we did also received a contract signing bonus in 2021. The avg bonus was probably $20k. We won’t see that in 2022 unless we sign another contract which seems to be happening every 2-3 years.

2022 pay for captains will probably be about $290-320k not including 401k matches. Still not bad, but I’ll also work less days for that number when the LOA ends. I’ll happily work on days off for 2.5x the pay. Not as much or at all for 1.5x the pay.

We are also home based. All of my airlines were paid for by the company and during my 7 day work week. Healthcare is also free for you and your family, except for $20 office, $150 ER, and $30 urgent care visits. Free family health care is worth a lot.
