Delta 737 FO year 4/5
$266k total comp plus $38.5 retirement contribution
total $304.5
bid reserve 7 months (sometimes rolling thunder and sometimes not flying at all)
lines the other 5
Flew/training 134 days
613 block hours
credit around 1425 total for the year
This year was the perfect combination of QOL and pay. Coached my kids sports ball team. Home for every birthday, holiday, party. Probably will not be able to repeat ‘21 in this seat.
edit: live in base

Firefighter/Engineer-(that means I drive and pump water) switching to pilot
160k
Worked my regular 122 days. 38 overtime days. all 24 hour shifts.
Some days better than others
40k to PERS (pension) paid by employer
Employer contributes nothing to my 457 account (401k with less restrictions for government employers
I have two more weeks of training at my regional. The paychecks have been $1500 gross every two weeks. I am just burning my vacation from the fire department to finish training and work a bit to see which career I like more
This thread gives me some hope that I am making the right choice in terms of career finances and life time earnings.
