Not at Avelo.... But FWIW, probably around 50% of all 121 pilots commute. All decent 121 carriers have a commute policy that defines how much effort is required to get to base, and what happens if you don't. I am at Spirit. Two flights, never any questions. I would be very surprised if Avelo doesn't have something similar. And there is no chance Avelo would require pilots to move to base. How you handle nights in base between trips is up to you.

With pretty much any other airline, commuting would be my plan. Breeze and Avelo are the exceptions, because as a practical matter, a schedule of near-daily O&Bs rather than 4+ day trips is much better-suited to living in-base. No matter what, commuting is not currently an option for me since there's no easy way to get to most of Avelo's bases from were I currently live.

Avelo Application Inquiry
I am currently trying to get employment with Avelo or anyone who can get me. I tried my luck with SkyWest Airlines and Denver Air Connection, but I was not able to get through training. I have since gotten my R-ATP and a B-737 Type Rating. I have applied to Avelo a few weeks ago and I'm not sure if they got my application. Is anyone in a similar situation?
